How to Apply Mineral Makeup in Less Than 5 Minutes

Revolutionary cosmetic applications and blending techniques have changed the way women can apply cosmetics to their skin. Learning how to apply mineral styled applications to the face in less than 5 minutes is easy, and amazingly enough, mineral makeup is good for the skin. This revolutionary styled mineral application makes skin healthy every time it is applied because the skin gets to breathe each time minerals are used on the skin. Minerals will help women create skin that has a glowing and radiant look that is lightweight and easy to wear.

To apply these mineral beauty products to the skin, use small amounts of mineral makeup and apply with gentle strokes made with special brushes. Every woman can have a fresh and flawless look that lasts for hours in just 5 minutes time. The minerals used in these cosmetic tools are very simple to use, mainly because it is an all-natural product. People love this style of beauty tool because it leaves the face looking perfect, and with no lines or wrinkles. The natural properties found in mineral compositions such as this will not clog pores or cause any blemishes.

For smooth and even coverage, women can apply mineral makeup using one of eight brushes. On large areas of the skin, mineral particles can be applied with a Kabuki brush or a Light Coverage brush. A blush brush will heighten mineral makeup color in the cheekbones. The shadow brush is used to apply eye color to the eyelids and under the bottom lashes. To conceal any blemishes, mineral styled concealers would be applied using a Taklon brush and Wonder Cover. The lip brush will complete the 5-minute natural mineral beauty ritual.

The A B C of Makeup Application

Making mistakes while applying makeup can waste a lot of time, effort, and of course, makeup. Here is how to apply them in the right order:

Contrary to popular belief that the base is the first to be applied, eye makeup is actually the first. Remember when you try applying mascara and little black dots mess up your foundation and concealer?

The first thing to apply would be eye shadow, followed by eye liner, and topped off with mascara. After eye makeup is ready and mascara is dry, apply some cream based cover up that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Pat it on to camouflage circles around the eyes and deep shadows under the eyes. Use an oil free moisturizer on your blemishes before applying the cover up.

The next step is to apply the foundation. Use foundation of the light weight type with your fingers or with a sponge. Use it in moderation to avoid that "cakey" look and instead allow you to have a nice flawless look. If you want your cover ups to last throughout the day (or as long as it possibly can), use powder. MAC cosmetics have great products for this purpose. For that sun kissed glow, use a bronzing powder and focus on the tops of your cheek bones as well as the tip of your nose.

If your skin happens to get shiny in the middle of the day, touch up using some translucent formula. Blush is the next makeup that you can apply. According to experts, think of the shade that you would like to have on your cheeks and look for a color that is one shade brighter than the one you want. This will give you a fresh and cheerful look without looking clown like.

Lipstick or lip stain is the cherry on top of your makeup application. It is easy to know why, since it easily smudges if you apply it first and do the rest afterwards. Use a lip brush if you are going to use a shade that is eye popping bright or catchy dark. If it's a fresh and smart look, then simply use a stain or a lipstick. To amp up the oomph factor, layer on some lip gloss. It reflects light and makes lips appear fuller. Brows would be your last step and can really affect the overall appeal of your face. Simply smooth your brows if you want to look fresh. Use a brow defining powder if you're wearing something bright and colorful.

Anti-Aging Non-Comedogenic Natural Mineral Makeup

Medical professionals love the healing properties found in mineral makeup since it is very gentle to the skin and hypoallergenic. This means that the natural properties found will not cause the pores to clog, or irritate the skin in any way. It is also non-comedogenic and is less likely to cause blackheads or whiteheads in all skin types tested, but more specifically, it is perfect for use by people with oily skin because the natural minerals act like a sponge without leaving any oily residue behind. It does not clump up on oily skin and will leave other skin types looking radiant and beautiful all day long.

Plastic surgeons recommend the healing properties of mineral makeup to patients that have had plastic surgery. The doctors want their patients to use mineral makeup each day because the natural minerals help skin to breathe and heal. It is good for use on all skin types. The minerals will speed the healing process along and give skin a healthy, radiant look that is flawless. It is non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and anti-inflammatory. These properties make it the perfect choice for patients to use right after having plastic surgery performed.

Surgical patients love the concept of having no acne worries after applying mineral makeup. Applying it is quick and easy on the skin and helps to create a smoother, more refined image that helps them look young again. It is also water resistant which allows people to enjoy life to the fullest while still looking their best.

Women Get the Real Story on Mineral Makeup

Many women are hesitant about trying new forms of beauty applications because they are not sure what substances were used to create them. Mineral styled beauty accents are a natural substance and goes hand in hand with other natural things that are placed in or on the body each day such as food, air, and water. Mineral accentuation of certain facial areas will make you feel beautiful and look beautiful because it is made of glowing minerals that are beautiful.

The skin can breathe again, even after several layers of minerals are applied, and that is not something that can be said for liquid or paste foundations that are oily and messy too. The chemical free SPF components in mineral cosmetics can keep wrinkles from forming. Harmful rays from the sun are blocked out with the SPF properties that come from the earth. Wearing makeup on your skin that is light and airy will make you feel beautiful and young when wearing it, no matter how long that period is. It makes no difference whether the applications are worn for a short time or all day, it will still be fresh and natural.

A lightweight product, mineral cosmetic applications do not bog down the pores with debris either so there is no chance that minerals worn will be the cause of any blemishes that occur. Minerals on the face will only transform it to a healthy glow in only 5 minutes. Ensure that proper cleaning and care of the face takes place before every application and mineral wearers are sure to be left with skin that glows all day.

Five Make Up Accessories For the Weekend Away

We all have our undying makeup loyalties - the brand we trust and the products we know work for us. However, whichever favourite foundation, must-have lipstick or to-die-for eye shadow that you always have handy in your purse - you need to also make sure that you have the right tools for the job.

There are countless accessories and tools that make up your makeup routine: brushes, swabs, curlers, straighteners, volumisers - the list is endless. However, if you're heading for that dream weekend away, you don't want your cosmetics to take up half of your luggage space. If you're flying, aviation rules and baggage limits can really put a damper on your plans.

But even with limited space, there's no reason you can't look fab on the go. If your makeup case is bursting at the seams, here's the list of five take along accessories that conveniently pack into your handbag:

Makeup sponges - when it comes to applying foundation, your fingers are an absolute no-no. Sponges are the best way to ensure even coverage. If you're on the go, a compact might be the more transportable option over mineral foundation.
Powder brush - for blush application, a powder brush keeps you in control, use long broad strokes rather than dabbing and always brush in one direction. For setting your face, consider a cotton puff or large powder brush for smooth and flawless coverage.
Eye shadow brush - when it comes to blending eye makeup, nothing else gives you the picture perfect results of a good quality eye shadow brush. For emphasising the crease of your eye, try a broader contour brush.
Tweezers - sturdy tweezers are an absolute must have for getting rid of unwanted facial hair. They can also come in handy for any MacGyver-esque scenarios.
Eyelash Curler - for gorgeous stand out eyes, an eyelash curler coupled with voluminous mascara are a proven combination. Make sure you curl your eyelashes before mascara application as your eyelashes are more brittle once they're wet.

Flying with Makeup

If flying, make sure you observe the latest aviation restrictions when it comes to carrying liquids and cosmetics. In Australia, you should make sure that any liquids are carried in containers under 100 mL containers and they should be placed in a clear plastic bag.

This includes any lip balms, lotions, foundations and lipsticks. Fortunately, you can keep your nail files and tweezers in your carry on as of late December last year - whew.

Making Facial Features Stand Out With Makeup

One of the many reasons that women take so much time in applying their makeup is because of how much makeup can change their appearance. By applying makeup you can change how people perceive you, in fact you can go from ordinary to extraordinary in the amount of time it takes you to apply your makeup. One of the biggest reasons that applying your makeup so carefully can change your appearance is because you can use the makeup to highlight certain features that otherwise would go unnoticed.

One of the first things that you can do with a light powder is to highlight your brow bone and your cheekbones. You do not need to use any special color to highlight these features, the same powder that you use for face can be used for these bones, and it is how you apply it that is going to make the difference. When applying the powder to your brow bones you will want to apply it lightly just below your brow bone. To highlight your cheekbones you want to apply the powder to the highest part of your cheekbones to help emphasize those features.

Not only can you bring out your cheekbones by using a light powder but you can also use blush to draw more attention to your cheeks. When using blush you will only want to apply it to the apple of your cheeks because otherwise you can create a clown look. To find the apple of your cheeks the best thing that you can do is smile. Begin applying a small amount of blush to the apple area and then follow your cheekbone out towards the temple. You will also want to blend the color down towards your earlobes. The hardest part is making sure that you do not use too much color, but if you do you can use a wedge to help blend the color in. To do this you want to use the clear side of the wedge brush and blend it in until there is only a small amount of color left.

One problem that many women face is having hidden cheekbones, which means that no matter what they do the cheekbones are not going to stand out. To help make your cheekbones stand out you are going to want to contour your face by using a brown powder, you want to use a milk chocolate color rather than an ultra brown though. To contour your face you need to create something like a shadow by using a brush to apply the powder from your temple and going down until you reach the apple part of your cheek. Once that is done you will want to take a white powder and apply it right between your eye and cheekbone until you reach your temple.

Eye Makeup That is Beautiful and Makes Your Skin Healthier

For a flawless look, many women are applying minerals to their skin. Because of this effort, women are experiencing healthier skin that glows. Mineral cosmetics are considered natural applications and once applied, the layer is automatically considered as natural by the skin. The loose powders in these mineral applications are allergenic and will not clog pore or cause blemishes, even after extended wear. Eye shadows made with minerals are naturally beautiful and protective to the skin surface. Women love wearing eye colors that are beautiful and especially those colors that make the skin look healthier and younger.

Makeup minerals are synergistic blends of minerals that come from the good Earth. Everytime a woman uses the eye colors of any sort and other mineral cosmetic foundations, the skin is left with a foundation that adheres to the face and is not absorbed into the pores. The perfect face only takes about 5 minutes to achieve and the perfect look last for hours at a time. While on, the natural minerals revitalize the skins surface, and the SPF 15 protection keeps harmful sunrays away, which helps stop the aging process before it starts. The SPF 15 ingredients in mineral based cosmetic products are chemical free and made from titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which are best for blocking UVA and UVB rays.

Mineral applications will provide a flawless finish that allows the skin to breathe. Since it is completely free of irritants, it helps people with allergies to look beautiful each and every day with no worries. The water resistant properties of mineral cosmetic products make it the perfect choice for wear in all climates. Swimmers and other athletes love wearing minerals on their skin because it is perspiration proof and water resistant.

Identifying Mineral Makeup Brushes

When applying mineral make up applications, eight brushes will ensure even coverage and leave your appearance simply glowing. The basic application appliance set for use with mineral makeup powders are brushes for blush and Light Coverage, Kabuki and Taklon brushes, angled and contour brushes, and lip and shadow brushes. Each of these makeup tools has a distinct appearance, which does make them fun to use.

Large areas of the face where blusher is applied can be beautified with a few strokes of a soft and supple lip appliance applicator. The blush applicators feature a tapered shape that can apply blusher to large areas of the face with one or several strokes. An angled brush has a blunt cut on the end of the bristles and is perfect for blush use. A flat top buffer can also be used to apply blush and bronzers. The contour brush provides users with the ability to apply defining lines of color to the cheekbones.

The lip appliances are easily identifiable by the size of the utensil. This tool features a tapered shape which is handy for dotting mineral lip colors on the lips. It has the capacity of making lips look plump, sensual, and very desirable. The Kabuki brush provides the most coverage. It is designed to apply mineral makeup such as pressed minerals, blending cream, gel, or liquid foundation.

As a versatile tool, the Kabuk provides smooth and even coverage to the largest areas of the face. Utensils like the Taklon and Wonder Cover are used for concealing blemishes. The Light Coverage applicator can be used for lighter applications of foundation. The shadowing tool is used to apply color to the eyelids.

Using mineral make up brushes every day to apply mineral makeup is the primary key to achieving a flawless and finished look. These eight brushes will help do the job right, every time.

Mineral Make-Up - Tips on Applying Mineral Make-Up For Best Appearance

By now you mush have seen the infomercials and seen the mineral make up ads in all the beauty magazines. Chances are you have tried mineral make up whether it's the powder foundation, eye shadow or blush. Here are some specific tips on the optimal ways to apply mineral make up to your face to maximize the effect.

First a bit of history of mineral makeup and what makes it different from other make up. Unlike regular foundations which rely on chemicals such as sodium laurel sulfate and other bases, mineral make up is usually composed of pure minerals. Because of this it has less chance of irritating sensitive skin and clogging pores and it also creates a natural look as if you are not wearing make up at all. The downside to mineral makeup is that it can be a bit messy in the bathroom as the powder is somewhat hard to manage.

Tip #1: Pay attention to the weather and the season when applying your mineral make up. In summer time it's best to use less make up as skin tends to get more oily and even mineral makeup can sometimes clog the pores. In summer months go with lighter colors to reflect the weather. During winter it's ok to use deeper, richer colors so that your skin will have a certain "warmth" to it.

Tip #2: Use a makeup brush that you are comfortable with for the type of mineral make up you are applying. For example for mineral foundation a kabuki brush, which is a shorter and wider brush is ideal because it prevents the powder from going everywhere. If you are applying liquid mineral foundation it's best to use the tips of your fingers instead of a brush. For eye shadows you need a fluff brush which is a thinner and longer brush that will focus the shadow on the areas you need.

Tip #3: If you have oily skin avoid the liquid mineral foundations and go for the powder. For oily skin you will want to make sure the makeup does not contain the ingredient "mica" which can make oily skin look even more shiny. For dry skin a liquid mineral foundation is preferable since it is a bit richer and provides better coverage than just mineral powder foundation. If you have sensitive skin be sure to talk to a dermatologist about what make up is right for you, but generally the mineral powder makeup is the way to go.

Tip #4: You can also mix mineral make up with your daily moisturizing cream to create a foundation with some color in it. There are tinted moisturizers on the market already, but this way you are in control of exactly how much color you add to your foundation.

It's important to know how to wear mineral make up for your skin type and based on the weather to make the most of your appearance.

All Natural MakeUp - Help Reverse the Aging Process

The relevance of all natural makeup products is continuously increasing with the changing trends in the lifestyles of people across the world. The sad news is that this change is mostly for the worse because healthy ones are actually difficult to follow and the ones with negative effects are easy. One usually blames cosmetics and cosmetic companies for them. Nowadays cosmetics and cosmetic companies are being established and new products are being launched every day. No wonder a consumer has a whole plethora of choices before her. For every skin problem, there are almost thousands products and therapies.

However, these therapies and products do not come only with their popular incentives. They have a whole bag of side effects and problems associated with them and if not treated carefully, they can lead to severe skin problems like boils, rashes and other allergies. Moreover, the crux of the matter is that these skin products have mostly one motive behind their products and even the consumers who use them - to reverse the effects of natural ageing. It is the unattractive effects that go with natural ageing which people strive to reduce and eliminate and this is what popular skin care brands cash in on. Using cosmetics for improvements in beauty and facial features is another significant issue which tags along with the usage of cosmetics and lotions.

To create solutions which can cure aging of skin, the first step is to know why skin ages and what are the influencing factors which are involved. The ageing process is actually a mix of several reasons categorized as intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic ageing is the natural ageing process. This process, no matter how healthy the lifestyle of a person, cannot be stopped. It can only be slowed by taking complete care of the skin. For instance, the type of exercise and diet which a person adopts, the amount of stress which the person undergoes etc. determines the speed of skin ageing. Natural ageing occurs when the intrinsic network of the elastin and collagen, cells under the deep kin layer called epidermis, dermis and the hypodermis, begins to slow down. Collagen and elastin help in giving the skin a young and fresh look by making the skin elastic and firm. Even elastin loses its elasticity over a period of time.

The outward layer called the epidermis also starts thinning with old age and the skin become transparent, dry and sometimes flaky. The thinning of dermal and hypodermal layers makes the skin sag and this a major reason which compels people to use anti sagging creams. After this there are several extrinsic factors too which actually speeds up the natural ageing process and these circumstances largely depends on the lifestyle of a person. The healthier the lifestyle, the less will be the effect of these extrinsic factors. Some of these factors include the amount of sun exposure, smoking etc. Excessive sun exposure can speed up premature ageing of the skin chiefly due to the ultraviolet radiations which are present in the sun rays.

These rays also harm the skins ability to naturally regenerate damaged and old collagen and elastin. Excessive sun exposure usually results in a lot of freckles, spidery veins and rough leathery skin. Mostly, the skin loses its freshness on account of age spots and wrinkles or fine lines which appear due to the sun. This is also called photo aging and several cosmetics are available to minimize such harmful effects of the sun, and is why all natural makeup was developed and is proving so successful.

Stage Makeup - A Primer

There are a number of different elements to stage makeup. This is a brief overview of the basics.

1. Foundations provide a base coat. There are three types:

a. Creme foundations are easy to mix and blend, go on smoothly and look natural under stage lighting.

b. Matte foundations provide a versatile blend of high pigmentation and natural coloring in a fine, textured crème. Apply with a sponge and dampen for a lighter finish.

c. Color cake foundations apply quickly and work well for body makeup applications. Easily applied with sponge and water, they also make a great base coat for white face or other character foundations.

2. Highlight and shadow are applied after foundation to rebuild facial features which are washed out by lighting and distance. Highlight and shadow are also used to change the appearance of the facial structure and to create the desired illusion for a particular character.

3. Concealer is applied beneath foundation with a flat or dome brush. Blend, then powder lightly before applying foundation. For intense discoloration, carefully apply additional layers of neutralizer.

4. Rouge is available in either creme or dry cake form. They may be used independently or creme rouge may be applied first and set with dry rouge. Apply creme rouge with fingertips. Apply dry cake rouge with a soft, full brush.

5. Cake eyeliner, applied with water or LiquiSet and a fine-tipped brush, is the easiest for most people to use. If heavy perspiration is likely to be a problem, liquid eyeliner may work better (FinalSeal is also an option for overcoming heavy perspiration).

6. Mascara is used to color the ends of the lashes, making them look thicker and the eyes larger.

7. Lip liner is placed around the outer edge of lipstick to accentuate the lips' shape and heighten their contrast with the general face makeup.

8. Lipstick is used to enhance or mask lips.

9. Powder is used to set the makeup after completion. Brush a thin veil over the entire face with a powder puff and remove excess with a powder brush.

The creative application of these makeup elements allow you to achieve just about any look you might want.

Comment mettre maquillage - 4 conseils haut

No matter how much any woman will deny it, we will always love make-up. And once in our life, we will try and get to use it. It is such a thing if we learn how to put make-up by ourselves.

Some women simply cannot get enough of make-up and some use it to need in their work, then that some simply susceptibility to the idea of use it or even attempting to lay their hands on it. But why? Therefore because put makeup can be a little more complicated for some, compared to just putting on nothing and triggering appointments. But, in view of these reserves, we must that basic knowledge that make up can be learned and perfected through time. After all, sometimes it may change the way we look at ourselves and can affect the level of our confidence and personality.

We need to make up, not only because certain standards of society so require, but because it is a way to put us in a star of our own, not only for others to see, but we take pride in. And if it is a simple daily make-up or striking make-up of the evening, he will certainly be highlight of our facial assets and make us beautiful look and feel. Here are a few basic pointers with make-up by yourself:

1 FOUNDATION - that this is a Mate foundation, a liquid Foundation or a cake Foundation, the key is to find the perfect color which will seek to merge with your natural skin color, and not of it whiten or darken it. In this way, it seems natural and complementary. Applying, start with a small amount and it spread to your face for the same coverage. Also, take the time to do and Don't hurry up. It needs more massage on your face, better and similarly he gets.

2 Eye makeup - the eye make-up can be delicate and frustrating if we are not careful to use it. Always consider the kind of look you want and the amount of shade you need, whether heavy or light. Make-up of the eyes of base, begin always with a base colour, which means, more neutral shade that you see in your palette of eyelids. It creates just a glow just around your upper lids. After that, you can highlight your eyes by applying a tint darker of your choice (for basic, try Brown shades or shades of bright roses) anywhere along your creaseline or your eyelids than the creaseline. Mixing two colors together and after this, curl your lashes to make your eyes look vibrant. Use mascara on your senior curled lashes and your lower lashes, advanced at the end. You can also line your upper with eyeliner lids if you want.

3. BLUSH on - when using blush on for basic makeup, always choose a shade that resembles a natural shade of the flushed cheeks and apply on the apples of your cheeks, directly to the direction of your ears. Too blush on you will make to look like a clown, avoid and.

4 Color lip - to the base of the lip colors, you can use something bold or something subtle, for your desire. But make sure it full of your eyes. If the eyes have darker colors, outline hue of your lips. A tip on the establishment of lipstick stay is on the Foundation on the lips before application of lipstick, or putting on a lipliner shade even before your lisptick.

These tips are extremely useful for basic makeup, but there is nothing as successful than to learn to put make-up yourself, to do so on occasion at home, experimenting with colors that will increase your face and features. Practice, practice, practice... this things logically is perfect.

Applying Winter Makeup

As seasons change, so should your makeup. When applying makeup for winter, it is important to be mindful of the harshness of the weather and the warmer, darker coloured clothes you will be wearing. Winter make up should be applied in a way that adds colour and liveliness to your complexion, and should have a light tint that matches the skin tone. Unlike summer, with its light clothing and sunny, warm weather, winter is composed of windy, cold weather and warm clothing. Saying this, winter makeup should accommodate the weather and reflect the heavier clothing and darker colours. So, dig into your makeup stash and bring out the oil based moisturizers, protective foundations and matte eye shadows in autumn and winter colours, like grey and brown.

Skin Preparation

The skin itself needs to be protected during the harsh weather of winter days, so makeup application should begin with an oil based day moisturizer. This prevents the skin from drying out due to the low humidity and cold. At night, it's important to use a heavier moisturizer immediately after showering in order to seal in the skins moisture.

Foundation

It's typical for people to have paler skin in winter than they do in summer, so it is important to chose a foundation a shade or so lighter than your summer foundation, depending on how much you tan in summer. When choosing a foundation for winter, foundations with matte finishes are best- save the foundations with shiny, bright finishes for summer. Having a foundation that is one shade lighter will make skin look brighter. Before applying the foundation, apply to the back of your hand. This will warm the product to your skin temperature and allow for easier application.

Eyes

Winter colour palettes should include bright and clear colours that will emphasize style and beauty. Distinctive colours, ice shades, and deep backs and whites are perfect. The colours chosen when applying eye makeup for winter should reflect the colours in the clothing you are wearing out that day. This creates a more polished and united look. For winter, a darker eye shadow, black eyeliner on the top and bottom lash lines, and two coats of black mascara will work best. For any under-eye puffiness that winter weather can bring on, a creamy, yellow based concealer can help counteract this. Blend the concealer from the inside corner of your eye to the outside until the concealer is completely blended with your skin.

Lips

As the eyes will be played up more for winter, keep the lips simple. Soft, pale, natural colours are best so the makeup does not seem too overdone. Stick to nude glosses, pale pinks and peaches, depending on your skin tone.

These few tips can make your skin look healthy and glowing during the cold winter weather.

Why Makeup is a Philosophical Issue - The Importance of Beauty Products Discussed

Sometimes you just don't feel like putting on your makeup in the morning. Every girl knows that feeling! Maybe it was a particularly 'challenging' evening the night before. Who knows, maybe even a few glasses of wine were involved;) And the next morning you just aren't feeling that 'beauty is important' feeling. It's natural girls. I have certainly been there.

The thing is that I am here to tell you that putting on makeup is a bit like that poem by Rudyard Kipling. You know, the one called 'If'. I am sure you have heard it. All very macho, male bonding stuff, about not losing your head when all around you are losing theirs. And you will be a man 'my son'.

It's a great poem, and it has a lot of parallels to the feelings that us ladies need to have in the morning when it seems like we just can't raise ourselves to putting on that eye liner, or mascara. Because it is in our moments of greatest weakness. When we are feeling at our lowest ebb that we really need to step up to the plate and put on some slap!

Anyway, I am not expecting you to undergo any complicated surgery or anything to become a fella!

I just want to spread the message that makeup is a philosophical issue that is an affirmation of the female energy that we all hold within us. And that frankly, it's too important not to be treated with requisite care and attention.

The process should be celebrated, not dreaded.

The truth is that how we present ourselves to the world really is important. All of us are judged on first impressions to a great extent, and this is especially true of women because the 'social norm' (whether you like it or not) is that women do more peacocking than men.

What do I mean? Well, they wear more varied clothes, they wear more perfume. They do more to excite the senses. And this is especially true in a visual sense. Women are not only judged by men, but in fact tend to be judged more critically by their female sisters. I'm not saying that's right. It just happens to be how it is.

So, what that means is that you can either throw your hands up in the air in disgust. Cut your hair short, quit shaving your armpits, wear dungarees, and stop wearing makeup. Or you can just smile. Seize back the power and have fun with all the oodles of good beauty products that there are on the market.

Personally, I will be taking the latter approach.

Make up is fun. I think it's like getting to play for 10 minutes every morning. It may not always be convenient girls. We may not always like it. But let's embrace it eh and start enjoying the process as much as the results.

Here's to you all looking beautiful!

Green eye makeup tips

Green eyes are really fun to work with. They have such a range of broad colour of turqouise in the Charterhouse of forest green to pale green gloss and on and on.

These tips are designed for the magority of green eyes, but of course, there are exceptions to every rule. My best advice is to try all the colours you are interested. You would be surprised at what seems well.

Choose an eyelids

These colours are among the most popular green eye.

Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Of Browns and Greens dark with highlights of gold or copper are also an excellent choice.

Apricots and moles are good choices for highlighters.

Dark purples, plums and metallic work too. Brass and gold medals will be a really glamorous evening look green eyes make-up advice. I like personally really deep purples appearance with dark green eyes.

Colours to avoid

When you are learning the green eyes make-up advice, it also allows to know what colors, you may want to avoid.

First place, blues. Does not any green blue color eye justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, Dark Blues and even a few (purple or pink) colors with shades of blue.

Pink are also difficult to color. Some may look really, really well and others can look really, really bad. It is usually a matter of trial and errors.

Silvers are not a good choice. Left for blue eyes.

Colors eyeliner

Unless you really like black eyeliner, it is usually a color to avoid. Try steely grey or brown chocolate. Use gold or white to open the eye if your eyes are small.

The general rule

A good golden rule at the time to choose a color for green eye make-up advice is to focus on warm colours and avoid cool colours.

As I said, there are exceptions every rule, but this should provide a method to bring out the beauty of your green eyes integrated security for the choice of the colours of eyelids.

The Application

How you apply your eyelids depends on number of colors you wear and what is the opportunity.

For basic every day wear, here's what you do.

1 Apply a highlighter as lens to the eye just at the bottom of the cover to the eyebrow.

2. Use a mole or apricot then and apply to the whole of the eyelid and mix just above the fold with the lens.

3 And then use your third colour (chocolate brown, dark green, copper, etc.) and apply it in two ways:

a. apply in your eyelid go eyelashes just above the fold. Mix well. You can even mix under the lower lashes for a more dramatic look.

b. it shall apply from the inner corner of your eyelid and wipe it out to the outer corner of the eye. It will get more thick the further you go. Mix well.

4. Apply mascara and eyelids as you normally would.

And this is! Large green eyes make-up advice.

How Using the Right Blush Can Make Your Makeup Stand Out in a Crowd

One of the worst mistakes women make when putting on makeup, is using the wrong blush or using no blush at all. The first thing you want to think about when buying your blush is what kind is going to work for you. Powder blushes are by far the most popular, but even these come in several forms. You can get pressed blush, loose powder blush in shaker jars, or loose powder in a dispensing brush. Mineral blush is by far the best to use, as it contains natural minerals that are actually good for your skin. Powder blushes just blend better and have great staying power.

Next, you have to choose the right shade for your skin tone. The general rule of thumb is this: choose a color that matches the "apples" of your cheeks right after a workout. Or, bend over and let the blood flow to your head for a minute or two, and note where the color shows up on your face. Also, think about which color clothing choices are best for you. If you look good in peach, orange, or beige, a warm color blush will most likely be what you should choose. If your more flattering colors are bright pink, turquoise, or silver, a cooler color is probably going to look better on your skin.

When you are buying a blush brush, look for an angled contour brush so that you can apply your blush to the contours of your face. To apply, dab the blush on your brush, tap off the extra powder and smile as you look into the mirror. Apply using outward strokes across your "apples" and blend in to create a healthy, flushed look. Here's a tip: Using your Kabuki, swirl back over you entire face. This is just a great way to blend it all together for a finished look. Now, you are ready to go!

The 5 Most Common Makeup Mistakes (And How To Avoid Them)

Orange face, white neck. Brown neck, pink face. We all know

someone with no perception of how her make-up really looks

on her own face. She's sweet, really sweet. But she's a

joke in your circle of friends. Oh, no. It isn't you, is it?

Well, even if you don't wear "clown makeup," chances are

you're making some mistakes with your makeup. Take stock

to be sure that you don't fall into any of the makeup traps

below.

Mismatched Foundation

Your foundation should not be a different color from the

rest of your body. Really, it shouldn't. This is an easy

problem to fix. March yourself down to the make-up counter

at your favorite department store and let the salesperson

do her job. It's her job, after all. Don't be intimidated,

you don't need to buy the whole product line.

Blue Eye shadow

Blue eye shadow works for some people. Little girls in

dance recitals. Guests at 1970s-themed parties. Ethereal

looking supermodels. If you aren't one of the

aforementioned people then don't wear it. Enough said.

Dark Circles Under Eyes/Obvious Under Eye Concealer

This is a chicken or egg problem. You're right, the

circles aren't great. But neither are orange crescents

under your eyes. Play around with a few shades of

concealer to see what really works best for you.

Different products work differently on different people.

Just because one brand works for your friend, doesn't

mean it'll be flattering on you. Make sure you're

getting enough sleep and talk to your doctor. Sometimes

those circles are a sign of allergies or a vitamin

deficiency.

Obvious Lip liner

This is a look. It's just not a flattering one. Lip

liner is intended to add dimension to thin or small

lips, to lengthen the wear of your lip color and to

prevent your lipstick from "bleeding" onto your face.

It is not intended to create a visible outline.

Inferior products in your dressing area

Most of us are not starlets with dressing rooms and

make-up artists at our disposal. But that doesn't mean

we don't deserve to look like starlets with dressing

rooms and make-up artists. Invest in good lighting

around your vanity. Stock it with quality make-up

brushes and limit your make-up collection to products

you'll actually use. That way, your budget can be used

to buy better cosmetics.

You're worth it

Add a couple of extra minutes, a wee bit more effort

and a little money into your daily makeup routine. It's

not vain to spend a few dollars on or a few minutes at

your vanity. Put on your prettiest smile, bat your

beautiful lashes and show the world that you like who

you are.

Put your best face forward... you don't have to hide

behind crow's feet and lip lines...

Get Organized and Save Time by Making a Holder For Your Makeup Brushes

Organizing your makeup brushes is an incredibly important step to keeping a clean work environment for when it's time to put on your makeup. You don't want to have to waste time searching for a brush under a pile of makeup mess.

Even if you have a container specifically for your brushes, it may still be difficult to find the one you need. The key here is that you need to get a holder that allows you to easily view your brushes and juxtapose them in a way that allows you to easily find the one you need.

One way you can do that, that is quite popular among do-it-yourself video bloggers is to get a vase, glass jar, or a similar container and fill it up with either vase filler, small pebbles, or a similar material.

This allows you to stick your brushes inside and for them to stay in whatever position you place them in, regardless of their size. Since the materials is an accumulation of a bunch of small pieces, they shift easily making them form fitting.

Since your brushes will no longer be rubbing against each other, and you are placing them in brush side up, you prolong their life. Lets face it, if you just toss your brushes into a random area carelessly they probably aren't going to last as long as they should.

You can get this filler at a local craft store for super cheap.

If you're not a crafty type, you're not out of luck. There are tons of well made brush holders available, and it really comes down to preference.

After you've made your own makeup brush holder you might want to craft a makeup brush roll so you can keep your brushes protected and stay organized while you're on the go.

Applying Makeup The RIGHT Way

You own the best makeup money can buy. You thumb through

fashion magazines to study the faces of those stick-thin,

runway models. You spend two hours each morning putting on

your face. And, you still don't look right. What's a girl

got to do to look good around here?

Lights, camera, action...consider three things:

What's the lighting in your make-up area? Adjust it, and

you may find that you're better able to cover your flaws

and accentuate your attributes.

Picture yourself. Is the look you're struggling to attain

realistic for you? The supermodel-look you're using to

create your own makeup style may not be at all like you.

Look for famous faces with features similar to your own.

What colors and products do your look-alikes use with

success Try modeling yourself after realistic ideals.

Are you using the right colors and products?

Learn from the pros...take a lesson.

Spend a half hour with a professional makeup stylist.

Visit a department store beauty counter. Ask a well-put

together friend for a tutorial. Take notes. Here are a

few basic guidelines to keep in mind.

Foundation

Careful selection of color is essential. Remember, what

looks good in January, may not in August.

Reevaluate color often.

Apply with sponge or fingertips. Dot foundation in the

shape of a 'T' from forehead to chin. Then blend outward.

Don't apply pressure to skin. Be sure you don't leave a

'defining line' along your jaw line.

Blend any line with a tissue.

Eyes

Eye shadow is available in complementing multi-tone color combinations.

It's a good idea to buy these sets, rather than individual

colors, if you don't trust your own beauty know-how.

Swipe applicator across lightest color, tap off excess

powder, and sweep across lid to brow bone working from

the inside out.

Accent with medium tone from middle of lash to outer edge

of eyes. For a smoky, night time look, use a third color

as an accent. Blend colors with your pinky.

Cheeks

Using a full-sized blush brush, apply blush to brush, tap

off the excess, smile and sweep color gently from apple of

cheek to temple. Soften color with a tissue, if needed.

Powder

Loose powder sets make-up and extends its wear. Gently dust

your made-up face.

Lips Last

Liner and lipstick are your last step. Apply and blot with

a tissue.

Less is more...really!

Avoid looking overly made up. Too much make-up can look

worse than the flaws it's intended to hide.

Practice, practice, practice.

Do you remember how much fun it was to play with make up

as a child? Recapture that fun. Play around with different

looks.

You don't know how something will look until you try it.

But, save the experiments for a slow day. Your sister's

wedding day is no day for a new you.

What Are the Best Hypoallergenic Makeup Ingredients

Women can wear the most natural makeup in the world just by using minerals on their skin each day. Mineral beauty products come from the Earth and no other chemicals or additives are put in it. The minerals used in facial applications are natural and are non-organic. Most women are pleased to find out that mineral applications are free of irritants and that is good news to women who suffer from various types of skin allergies. Mineral based beauty applications will not clog pores either because it is allergenic. The minerals float on top of the skin instead of being absorbed into the skin.

The best hypoallergenic cosmetic ingredients are natural and mineral cosmetics are extremely natural. All mineral beauty applications are free from irritants such as talc, dyes, parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, and petro-chemicals. The crushed minerals warm to the skin when they are applied and are naturally recognized by the body as a nurturing product. Skin gets healthier when mineral styled beauty products are worn. The minerals give the face a flawless look that is free from wrinkle lines, imperfections, or unsightly blemishes.

Mineral makeup is a dream come true for many allergy sufferers and those women that are getting on in years. With this style of beauty treatment on, a woman has the opportunity to look years younger and feel youthful too. Women love wearing minerals on their face because it is so easy to apply. A tap of the brush in the minerals and a gentle swirl onto the skin's surface is all that it takes to put the minerals on. In 5 minutes, a woman can have a perfect appearance and a glowing complexion that took very little effort to achieve.

Many dermatologists report that because mineral makeup frequently eliminates classic "irritants" - like fragrances, binders, synthetic dyes, and preservatives -- it is considered "purer" and can be kinder to the skin. Popping Peepers - Make Your Eyes a Feature Using Eye Makeup

What is the best way to utilise makeup to make your eyes stand out? The quickest and easiest method is using colour.

You can wear any colour on your eyes, but which colours will enhance them the most and which colours are the fool-proof options? Generally, colours on the opposite side of the colour spectrum will make a stronger statement and bring out your eye colour more than those close to the eye colour.

Some colour guides are provided below:

Brown/hazel eyes: The safe bets are beige, chocolate, caramel, olive and taupe. Most dramatic results can be achieved with tones of blue, purple, turquoise and gold.

Blue eyes: For a soft enhancement try different hues of blue, such as pale blue and indigo or mauves. For eye-popping action opt for tones of gold, bronze, peach and strong pinks.

Violet eyes: Low-risk tones include mauve, soft pinks and hues of blue. More adventurous matches are shades of gold, bronze, chocolate and green.

Green eyes: Safe colours are hues of green such as olive, and teal, or variations on brown. To make green eyes stand out try dark blue, turquoise, silver, slate and tones of gold.

Okay, so what now? What about wearing multiple colours? How do you match colour combinations?

MONOCHROMATIC COLOURS These are different hues of one colour. For example; mint, olive and jade are all hues of green. A monochromatic colour scheme used in makeup can be a safe option, as this is quite easy to get right.

HARMONIOUS COLOURS These are colours adjacent to each other on the colour wheel, sharing a pigment. Examples are yellow and orange, or orange and red, or purple and blue. When placed side-by-side, harmonising colours appear to blend.

COMPLIMENTARY COLOURS These colours are positioned on opposite sides of the colour wheel. For example, yellow and purple, or red and green, or blue and orange. Applying complimentary colours in makeup can be quite difficult, but used correctly, the results are often dramatic. When placed together, complimentary colours result in strong contrast and each colour appears more vivid.

When choosing colours for your face, either on lips, eyes or cheeks, consider that attention is always drawn to the coloured area. To play it safe, use one or two pure colours to create your focal point and keep other tints softer to create balance. This is particularly helpful for mature faces.

If you love a particular colour in your makeup palette but struggle to wear it, try wearing a different hue/tone of that colour. For example, if you simply adore heritage green, but feel that is doesn't suit you, try a pine, jade or even sea green. These colours still fit in the green colour family, but may vary enough to suit you better. Examples of variations on basic hues/tones are provided below. There is a tone to suit you!

PURPLE mauve, lavender, violet, berry, wine and plum.

GREEN olive, lime, teal, turquoise, mint, aqua and khaki.

BLUE cobalt blue, indigo, navy, ice blue and sapphire.

YELLOW lemon, gold, amber, tan, raw sienna and citrus.

RED scarlet, brick, crimson, burgundy and mahogany.

ORANGE coral, peach, terracotta, apricot and tangerine.

BROWN beige, chocolate, burnt sienna, taupe and bronze.

PINK rose, dusk, fuchsia, magenta, lolly pink and salmon.

BLACK & WHITE slate, pearl and silver.

Remember to have fun with makeup and eye makeup is one of the most challenging, but most rewarding ways to do so. Put some colour into your makeup world today!

Makeup Needs

The postsurgical rhytidectomy patient will likely experience extensive bruising. There is no conclusive evidence, but mam patients who undergo extensive presurgical skin care at home and in the salon seem to have less bruising, and any bruising seems to dissipate faster.

Bruises are the main problem immediately after surgery. As soon as the surgeon approves, the esthetician may help the client with camouflage makeup for the bruising. You should make available to the client a heavy coverage camouflage makeup to help conceal the bruises. The bruising usually occurs under the eyes, on the lids, in a half-moon pattern on the upper cheeks, in front of the ears, and sometimes along the jawline and neck. Prepare the skin in the normal manner. Yellow toner may heir to conceal purple bruises. You may wish to apply a layer to amber or yellow toner prior to applying the coverage.

Apply the coverage makeup with dabbing movements with dabbing movements using latex makeup sponge. Blend in the edges with the client's norma: foundation. As the patient heals, bruises will start to change color as the blood is absorbed by the body. Bruising also tends to shift with gravity; i.e., bruises that start on the jawline may slowly seem to move down the neck and decollete, and occasionally onto the chest. During this time there may be variation in color ranging from normal black-purple bruising to yellow or green Apply the proper color toner to help neutralize the colors.

After the bruising has totally subsided and the suture lines haw healed completely, have a second makeup lesson with the patient and teach her to cover the incision scars. Work with her to cover stylist to establish a good hairstyle that will help conceal the scars from the incisions.

How a Woman Can Save Money When Buying High End Make-Up by Shopping Online

When it comes to high end make-up, there are only a few brands that really stand out. However, their prices can often be very high. So what do you do? Well, the one thing you shouldn't do is settle for a lesser brand simply because it's cheap. One of the smarter ways to buy high end makeup is to buy it online. The World Wide Web offers several genuine websites that provide high end cosmetics at discount prices; much cheaper than what you will get at a retail outlet. Often the discount is over half of the recommended retail price and they offer lots of variety from lip glosses, lip pencils, and lipsticks to eye makeup, blushers, bronzers, foundations, gift sets, professional makeup brushes and many more.

The four basic things needed to purchase these discount cosmetics online is - a computer, Internet access, a system of payment, and common sense. If you have all these, here is how you begin:

If You Know The Beauty Product Name:

Start with being very sure about the item you want to buy. Every company gives each product a unique name/title. When buying online, it's important to be sure about your product's name.

If You Don't Know The Beauty Product Name

If you know you need a new blusher for example but want to try something new then you can often browse the high end cosmetics website for all the items that might be of interested to you, in this example most websites will have a tab called "blushers" if you click on that link it will display all available discount blushers with a picture and description for you to choose from.

Log On To The Site Offering High End Makeup:

Log on to the site offering you high end makeup at discount prices. The first thing you should do after logging on to create an account with the site is to get yourself registered. Basically, by making an account with the web-store, you can move through the checkout procedure more quickly, store several shipping addresses, track and view your orders, and much more. However, make sure that the site is absolutely genuine and not a scam trying to cheat you out of money. Remember, if a website asks for things like your credit card number during registration, it would most probably be a scam. Hence, be very sure when giving away your personal information. Normally, all good websites offer secure modes of payment. After you place an order with them, you are given the option to pay via Google checkout or through PayPal, both of which are very secure. One can conveniently pay by using a debit or credit card without the necessity of creating an account with them.

Some websites also accept checks and postal orders. The creators make sure that the payment has cleared before sending the orders.

Finding The Beauty Product:

You have the choice to either select from the high end makeup items displayed, search for a desired discount makeup in the search section of the website, or you can use the tabs displayed to refine your search; for example click on "eye shadows" to view all eye shadows. When you find an item you want to purchase you should click on "add to cart". When you have added all the discount cosmetics to your cart then you can go to checkout and pay.

Some websites even offer a sorting tab through which you can select the price range of products you can afford. These websites also let you create your own personalized wish lists of all the discount makeup you are interested in, share the product with friends and even read reviews on the cosmetics.

A Short History on Makeup

Women's makeup dates back to the Egyptians, who were first to discover minerals for use as makeup bases. The minerals that they chose, however, were lead and copper, and these substances did more harm than they did good. The mineral makeup used today is healthy for the skin and skin can breathe while it is being worn, even for long periods. In the past, there were many health risks while wearing makeup of any kind. People developed rashes, and got sick from the ingredients used in women's makeup.

The Food and Drug Administration eventually passed health laws that limited the number of ingredients that could be used in any makeup. The mineral makeup in use today is chemical free and is good for the skin because it leave a radiant glow. Mineral makeup comes in molecular powder form that will not clog pores, which makes it perfect for people with sensitive or non-sensitive skin. People with all skin types can wear mineral makeup with no fear of ill side effects. The mineral makeup of the past contained no protection from the elements. The mineral makeup of today contains SP15 sunblock that keeps harmful UVA and UVB rays away from the skin.

Mineral makeup nourishes the skin by using natural minerals that contain no talc or other substances to irritate the skin. The sun block factors are made from nature's own titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. The colors found in mineral makeup foundations are perfectly natural to each skin type. All colors revitalize the skins surface and leave the skin with a finish that is naturally flawless and totally perfect.

It's also the product most patients ask about," says Kathryn Frew, MD, a dermatologist at Juva Skin and Laser Center and MediSpa in New York City. Many dermatologists report that because mineral makeup frequently eliminates classic "irritants" - like fragrances, binders, synthetic dyes, and preservatives -- it is considered "purer" and can be kinder to the skin. She adds that because titanium dioxide [and zinc oxide] have anti-inflammatory properties, certain mineral makeups can also have a calming effect on the skin, particularly important if you suffer from inflammatory problems such as rosacea or acne. How to Apply Mineral Makeup

People might wonder, "Why mineral makeup? Why should I choose it over regular makeup and how do I apply it?" There are numerous reasons why mineral makeup is better than regular makeup. Mineral makeup has loads of minerals and can be like a vitamin cocktail for your face and skin. It contains hypoallergenic power that is made up of magnesium, zinc, gold and titanium.

Women can now get the refreshed look they would have after a makeover at the spa and they can even sleep in the makeup as it is healthy for the skin. It minimizes crows feet and wrinkles, whereas, regular foundations can enhance the wrinkles. Mineral makeup is being marketed just like organic food has been marketed. There is a massive demand for natural based personal products and using natural ingredients from the earth.

This makeup has dramatically reduced the risk of acne problems and allergic rashes and reactions amongst many women. It contains no alcohol, perfumes, or other chemicals and is the safest makeup on the market for our skin. The fashion and cosmetic industry has jumped on the opportunity to use and market these new mineral based makeup products.

This miracle makeup contains an ingredient that even protects our skin from sun damage, future wrinkles and sun spots. Major makeup companies are getting involved with mineral makeup such as Maybelline, Milani, Cover Girl and Revlon to name a few. It is very important to apply mineral makeup to get the full effects of it. Here are four steps to help you apply mineral makeup properly.

1. Make sure your face is completely clean of any oils and dirt. You can even do an exfoliation beforehand to completely purify your skin and then apply a facial cream to soften your skin. The cream acts as a soft base before you apply any mineral makeup.

2. Choose a foundation or Kabuki brush and apply just enough of foundation on your face, neck and t-zones. Blend in the foundation with the color of your skin and keep it light. Cover all areas of your face for a nice even, fresh look.

3. Apply some eye liner now and then use your Kabuki brush to dust off any extra foundation powder. If needed, dab your finger into your foundation and cover little blemishes, dark circles and spots.

4. Apply blush, eye shadow and mascara after the foundation has settled. Now place some lip liner on your lips and then lipstick. Do not apply the lipstick too heavily and keep it looking natural. Use soft colors and the right shade of foundation depending on your skin color.

Now that you have applied all of your mineral makeup, take a look in the mirror. If you find you have any problem with your finished project then use a Q-tip or cotton stick to make minor adjustments. If you have any shine on your face use a tissue to blot it. You will now have a fresh look with a healthy glow that is great for your skins health.

The Perfect Wedding Day Makeup

Every woman dreams of her day from the time she was only a little girl. There are so many details her imagination takes care of: the length of her veil, the shade of her dress, the jewelry she'll use, the theme for her wedding, the flower arrangement for her bouquet, the people to invite, the menu at the reception, the song to be played for the first dance. One vital thing that could get lost in the swirl of romantic ideas is the kind of makeup the excited bride-to-be should wear. From the moment she walks down the aisle to the end of the reception, every eye is almost always on the bride, watching her every move and studying her joy. Wedding day makeup is no trivial matter and should be considered with great attention. It is only fair that the bride gives her loyal well-wishers a warm radiance in which to bask in their stares. To get the perfect bridal look, the right makeup must be employed.

For your wedding, the most awaited moment of your life, your face, as well as everything about you, should look natural. With this in mind, you should avoid heavy and dark makeup. You should aspire to look fresh, innocent, and content with your current state of affairs, eager to start a happy ever after with your groom. Besides, the emotions of a happy bride should be seen and shared, not hidden under layers and layers of bad, ugly makeup.

As with any occasion, your foundation should match the color of your skin. You don't want to appear whitewashed or look like a ghost in the wedding photos, so choose the right foundation.

Perhaps the best makeup tool that can help you achieve the perfect bridal look in terms of makeup is the blush. To achieve the look of love, use a blush in a soft, pink shade - the color of love and romance. Apply the blush with light, gentle strokes upwards. A pale pinch of color is enough; too much color will make your makeup appear forced and your happiness, fake.

If you have a fair or white to yellowish skin tone, soft hues, particularly in pink, would suit your face best. If you have a brown skin tone, natural colors would provide you that au naturel charm. If you have an olive or dark skin tone, pale and silky shades would give you the glow you need. These rules will help you pick out the right blush, as well as the eye shadow.

Your lips play a significant role in the wedding ceremony. After pronouncing your groom and you to be officially wed, all eyes turn on you as you shyly perform your first kiss as husband and wife. To make this beautiful moment truly unforgettable, make sure to pay attention to your lips when doing your wedding makeup. First things first: moisturize your lips with a gentle lip balm. Then put on a lipstick of the same shade as your blush. For that shiny, alluring finish, apply a thin coat of sheer gloss. Remember to keep smiling for the rest of the day. It's your wedding, after all.

With these wedding day makeup techniques, you're sure to wow not just your man but everyone who sees you in your dress, looking every inch the lovely bride.

Mineral Makeup and Getting Married

Every woman who has ever tried mineral makeup would never consider getting married without it. Packing for a honeymoon would be an incomplete event if mineral makeup, and the mineral makeup brush set was not snugly fitted in with other items that will make the Bride feel romantic and beautiful during her time away from home.

For a flawless appearance and a glowing finish, the Bride will make sure those items are with her when she leaves the reception. With mineral makeup as part of her trousseau, the Bride is sure to know she will look positively radiant on the most important day of her life. Bridesmaids appreciate small gifts as tokens of love on that day too and what better gift than mineral makeup for the Bride to say a glowing "Thank You."

Every Bride knows that mineral makeup is natural and will not clog any pores. The lightweight properties of mineral makeup will make every Bride feel like she is walking on air. The mineral makeup will last well into the night too and since it is not greasy, she will not have to fret over makeup smearing or it running in her eyes. Natural minerals nourish the skin and the Bride will be assured of a healthy glow all day. Wearing mineral makeup each day is safe and will not cause blemishes to form. The foundation brushes will ensure a smooth application and the end result will be a zesty glow that everyone will notice from that wedding day forward.

5 Secrets of Applying Natural Mineral Makeup

Mineral makeup will produce a flawless appearance on the face if five secret methods of application are used extensively. The five secrets of applying natural mineral makeup begin with the preparation of the brush. Mineral makeup is a powdery substance and minerals need to be deep within the brush to produce a flawless and refined finish. The secret to setting the minerals in the brush is a light tap while the brush is in the vertical position. This method will get the mineral makeup deep into the bristles of the brush and it will be ready to use. No minerals should be visible on the outer perimeters of the brush.

Other secrets to achieving a flawless look pertain to the foundation. Blending is an important phase to cover when applying mineral makeup. To achieve a smooth, natural finish, it is important to remember that the minerals will warm when applied to the skin, so use less mineral makeup. Another secret to remember is to buff the mineral makeup on to the skin in a circular motion using a Kabuki brush. The Kabuki brush can be used to blend or buff the mineral makeup on the face.

Another secret to remember is that a little bit of mineral makeup will go a long way. For people with oily skin, Velvet Matte can be used as a pre-base under foundation. The secret for producing a softer, more natural look, is to apply blusher with a little bit of mineral makeup foundation with an angled blush brush or a deluxe flat top buffer. With these five secrets, every woman can achieve a glowing, radiant look that is totally natural.

Enhancing Your Natural Beauty With Makeup

Start with a Clean Face

If you want your makeup to end looking the best it possibly can, it's not just important, but vital you start with very clean skin. Otherwise, it's like painting a dirty house or waxing a floor without cleaning it first. You're just putting something on to cover up the dirt and it will usually show through.

Find a good and natural cleansing product that doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and dehydrated. Depending on how oily your skin naturally is, you may need to use an astringent to really clear it up, but don't go overboard. You want to bring your skin to its natural state, not overly dry and not overly oily.

Lighted Makeup Mirrors

You may not have considered this before, but any professional makeup artist is going to use a lighted makeup mirror. The perfection in makeup application is found when you focus on the details. It would be like painting a beautiful picture in a dimly lit room. You're never going to be able to get the fine detail that makes for a stunning look if you can't see those details.

When considering a lighted makeup mirror, don't go for the cheaper models with the fluorescent bulbs. There is no way you're going to be happy with your look when it's under the unflattering lighting provided by these fluorescents. As a matter of fact, go with the most natural light bulbs you can afford. Again, the professional makeup artists are sparing no expense in this area and it's for a good reason.

Building a Foundation that's Natural

Your makeup foundation is meant to conceal your minor imperfections not to cover your face with an unnatural coating. This is sometimes difficult to communicate, since we're all looking for that perfectly smooth complexion. Unfortunately, the more you try to achieve that look, the less natural your complexion will look.

If you think the heavier the makeup, the better you'll look, think again. A good number of the people you see on TV are using an airbrush to apply their makeup. That's so they can put on the lightest most natural coating possible. It's not the quantity of makeup that makes you look amazing.

Accentuate Your Natural Beauty

Thankfully, for most of us, the days of plucking out all of your eyebrows and drawing them in with a pencil are long gone. That doesn't mean you can't groom and shape your eyebrows to help accentuate the natural look of your face. The same rule applies for the rest of your face. You don't want to change your appearance, just enhance it. Don't try making your lips look fuller with an extremely dark lip liner. If you are going to use liner, go one or maybe two shades darker and that's it.

Applying Makeup the Right Way - Easy, Quick Make-Up Application and Beauty Tips

Now that you've spent a fortune on that 'perfect finish' mineral or liquid makeup that is all the rage, what's next? You browse fashion magazines to study the makeup effects of the models and stars and spend hours in front of the mirror every morning applying 'your face'. Why doesn't it look right? What's it gonna take?

Let the sun shine

Is your makeup area well lit? Is it TOO well lit? Try adjusting the lighting and you may discover that you are finally able to cover flaws and highlight your strengths without much difficulty. Consider investing in one of those free-standing makeup mirrors which has adjustable lighting for day, evening and office. You can sometimes pick them up at yard sales and Goodwill for a dollar or two!

Say cheese!

Now, close your eyes and picture...you! Is the look you are aiming for realistic? Does it 'fit' you? Does it fit your lifestyle? These are important questions to ask yourself because for any 'look' to look RIGHT, it has to look like you - your personality, your lifestyle.

If only I could look like...

Ok, now, you're still thinking of all of those gorgeous babes in the magazines, eh? Well, pick one of them who has similar features to your own. For me, that'd probably be Barbra Streisand (that nose - sigh!) But, man, what a beautiful lady! Muted shadows, earth tones, light/sheer lips. That's the look that works for me, just as it always has for her.

Tone it down

Speaking of earth tones and sheer...are you choosing the right colors to complement your skin tone, personality and lifestyle? For example, I'm fair skinned, am a single, working mom and have a decidedly off-kilter sense of humor. I don't need bright blue and violet eye shadows to draw attention to myself, my mouth usually does that for me! And, with my fair complexion, the earth tones blend and accentuate, not over-power.

And speaking of single motherhood, who has TIME to do the dramatic, stop-you-in-your-tracks effects that so many models show off?

A side note

Here's a great example of using eye makeup to accentuate, not compete with, your eyes. My 19-year-old popped her head in while I was writing this article to tell me she was off to see her boyfriend. I looked up to tell her to have fun and be careful and noticed her eye shadow. The kid had put sparkly white all over her eyelid. Pretty color, but not for her. She, like her mom, is fair skinned and she has BRIGHT blue eyes.

So, I simply said "c'mere Jess" and I took one muted sparkly medium brown color eye shadow, and using an eye shadow brush, brushed it lightly over the base of her lid. "Ok, go look"

"Wow, that really makes my eyes pop, mom, thanks!" I hear from the bathroom. And it did make her eyes pop. Muted earth tones to offset some brilliantly bright blue eyes. And it took all of 45 seconds to do.

Practice makes perfect

Learn by doing, and by having a friend apply your makeup. Take turns with a friend for an afternoon applying each other's makeup. See through someone else's eyes how they picture you. If you have daughters who are old enough, do this with them. You may not like, or feel comfortable, with every makeup trick they tried, but I bet you'll pick up one or two that you do like and you'd never thought of.

A solid foundation

Selecting your foundation color is the essential first step to a beautiful face. Keep in mind the season - what looks gorgeous with that mid-July sun-kissed tan of yours will look like a Halloween mask by late October, so take a look at your color selections often.

Blending basics

For a liquid foundation, apply with fingertips or a sponge, starting with your forehead and working down to your chin in a 'T' shape and then smoothly blend out towards the edges of your face. Don't use too much pressure during the blending and don't forget your neck! A makeup line around your jaw line is just not the 'cosmo look' I know you're going for! Personally, I am in love with mineral makeup. I like how it applies, how it blends, how it stays and also how it allows my skin to breathe. I do have to say that Bare Escentuals is the best I've found (and no, I don't sell their product, but I do swear by them!)

The eyes have it

Choose colors which complement and emphasize your eyes, not compete with them. If you have big, beautiful, brown eyes, then greens and golds are a perfect choice. Blue eyes go great with muted earth tones and green eyes just look amazing with the purples and violets. These don't have to be BRIGHT shades, you can find muted shades of most any color to complement your eyes. Those of us with variable eye color, or hazel eyes, can wear almost any color and have it set off our eyes, but I would steer clear of the blues!

I've found that powder eye shadows (loose powder), when applied with a good quality eye shadow brush, tend to look the most natural and stay in place the longest. If you have problems keeping your shadow in place, try brushing a layer of finishing powder or mineral makeup lightly over the lid before applying the shadow.

For eye liner - I like the powders, but, even if you like the liquid, remember one thing - smudge your liner enough that it doesn't look like someone took a sharpie to your eyes! Line from the start of your bottom lashes towards the corner of your eye to the outer corner. On the upper lid, line as close to the base of your lashes as you can - and smudge enough that it is an effect and not a 'line'. NEVER completely encircle your eye (lining the inside corner) unless you have absolutely huge eyes as lining all the way around makes your eyes look much, much smaller. And this is usually not the end result we women are looking for!

Just cheeky!

Here's where most of us have some problems. What I do is use a bronzer *lightly* across cheekbones and then do a light dusting of a very sheer rosy color over my entire face and neck to give my face a healthy, glowing look. The key here is 'less is more'. You want to look rosy and healthy, not look like a painted ventriloquist's dummy! Use a soft, wide, natural-bristled make-up brush and finish with an almost sheer light finishing powder all over face and neck. (This extends the lifespan of your makeup and evens out your facial tone)

Kissy, kissy

Last but certainly not least - the lips. Choose a muted-tone liner, one that is at least the same shade as your lipstick, if not one shade lighter. Now, I'm notorious for licking and biting my lips all day and lipstick usually doesn't have a prayer of staying put for more than about 10 minutes. So, what I do is use a lip pencil that is in a little darker hue of a shade I like (I love the mauves) and line my lips. (tip: don't line the corners of your lips - only line TO the corners of your lips)

After lining, I actually use the lip liner to fill in with color on my lips, then put on a layer of lip plumping gloss in a lighter shade to offset the darker lip liner. This works well for me as I have thin lips and it stays much better than any lipstick I've tried (and I've tried most of the "this will last all day" stuff!).

Wala - you're well on your way to a gorgeous you!
